Job Description
- Design HV substations/Transmission lines and coordinate/work closely with Architects, Engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize the project design and resolving design technical issues.
- Review the drawings, documents and material submittals based on project requirements.
Design activities include the preparation of reliable Electrical designs and Tender/Construction drawings, Documents/Specification and Calculations for the following systems:
-Step up and step down HV AIS and GIS Substations
-Substation protection, Control & Telecommunication
-Substation SCADA system
-Earthing systems and Lightning protection.
-Overhead HV transmission lines
Requirements
- Bachelor or masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2 to 10 years of proven experience as an electrical designer.
- Strong understanding of design principles, construction techniques, building systems and International Codes.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Power system Simulation and associated software.
- Knowledge of Design Software like AUTOCAD, REVIT, DIALUX, etc
