Role Summary:
The Manager - Liaisoning will be responsible for managing day-to-day liaison activities between the company and various government, regulatory, and statutory bodies. The role ensures smooth coordination for obtaining permits, clearances, and approvals required for real estate projects while ensuring compliance with applicable laws. The position plays a key role in documentation, process tracking, and maintaining professional relationships with government agencies. The role supports the AGM - Liaisoning in ensuring strategic and compliant execution of liaisoning functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaison Coordination & Compliance
- Facilitate end-to-end coordination with local and state authorities (e.g., BBMP, BDA, KSPCB, BESCOM, BWSSB, Town Planning Departments) for obtaining project-related approvals.
- Prepare and manage submission of applications for building permits, environmental clearances, occupancy certificates, land conversion, NOCs, and other statutory documents.
- Track and follow up on approval status, resolve queries, and escalate delays or issues to AGM - Legal as needed.
- Ensure adherence to timelines and statutory compliance to avoid project interruptions or penalties.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date records of all communications, approvals, permits, licenses, and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure digital and physical documentation is accurate, secure, and accessible.
- Provide weekly updates to the AGM - Liaisoning on status reports, pending approvals, and compliance risks.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain cordial working relationships with officials in government departments and regulatory agencies.
- Represent the company in meetings, inspections, and discussions with external authorities when required.
- Support the AGM in resolving conflicts or escalations with regulatory bodies.
Team & Vendor Coordination:
- Supervise and guide field liaison officers or third-party consultants/vendors involved in documentation, submission, and follow-ups.
- Train and upskill junior staff on compliance requirements and process protocols.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or Urban Planning. Postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in liaisoning or regulatory affairs within real estate or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of real estate laws, government processes, and local municipal regulations.
- Proficiency in Kannada and English (written and spoken) for effective communication with government officials.
- Hands-on experience managing statutory documentation and working with departments like BBMP, BDA, RERA, KSPCB, etc.
