Job Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled.
- Prepare bills of quantities by analyzing architectural and engineering drawings.
- Assist in the preparation of contract documents, including tenders and contracts.
- Evaluate and negotiate variations and claims
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Prepare and submit client bills and invoices as per the agreed schedule.
- Certify subcontractor bills and ensure timely payments.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and project documentation.
- Conduct on-site measurements and valuations.
- Assess and certify the work completed by contractors.
- Prepare interim payment certificates and final accounts.
- Monitor project expenditures and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare regular financial reports, including cost-to-complete and budget vs. actual reports.
- Advise management on cost variations and financial risks.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure accurate billing and cost management.
- Provide regular updates to the project manager and senior management on financial progress.
- Education: bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, billing, or a related role in the construction industry.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and materials.
- Proficient in preparing detailed reports and documentation.
