Senior Software Engineer - Java/Python (5-10 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about solving complex technical challenges and delivering scalable, high-performance software solutions. In this role, youll be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining critical applications and systems. You will play a key role in shaping architectural decisions, mentoring junior developers, and driving best practices across the software development lifecycle.

As part of a collaborative and agile team, you'll work closely with product managers, DevOps, QA, and other cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical deliverables. You'll also be expected to take ownership of your codebase and ensure the long-term sustainability of the products you build.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend and/or frontend applications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning.

- Identify and address performance bottlenecks or system issues.

- Contribute to architecture discussions and provide technical leadership.

- Mentor junior engineers and promote coding best practices.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuously improve team processes.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in one or more programming languages : Java, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, or C#

- Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

- Proficiency in working with SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling

- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
