Network Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for network troubleshooting, design, and implementation. Your primary focus will be ensuring optimal network performance and security through detailed analysis and configuration management.

• This role operates at a high level of network troubleshooting, often dealing with complex issues that require deep knowledge of networking systems and protocols.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: Youll perform in-depth troubleshooting of network issues to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or connectivity problems.
• Design and Implementation: Based on business needs, you’ll design and implement network configurations. This could involve setting up new network segments, optimizing existing ones, or integrating new technologies.
• Performance Monitoring and Upgrades: Regularly monitor network performance and make necessary upgrades or changes to enhance efficiency.
• Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with other IT teams to integrate new technologies and enhancements into the network infrastructure.
• Network Security: Configure firewalls and monitor potential threats to maintain network security.
• Documentation: Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Mentoring Junior Engineers: Train and support junior network engineers in resolving complex network issues.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in network and firewall engineering.

• Technical Knowledge:

 Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.

 Familiarity with major network hardware from vendors like Cisco and Fortinet.

 Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

 Network security expertise.

• Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
