Manager- Packaging Development

Qualification: PG Diploma in Packaging, IIP

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end packaging development for new product development (NPD) as well as existing categories across primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials.
• Interpret and work with technical drawings, specifications, and mould development for various packaging components.
• Lead online packaging trials for new products and ensure timely execution and validation of results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Purchase, Contract Manufacturing Units (CMUs), and R&D to support seamless development and implementation.
• Drive mock-up/prototype creation for new and existing packaging initiatives to support innovation and feasibility assessment.
• Coordinate and finalize artwork development and approval in line with brand and legal requirements.
• Lead cost-saving, sustainability, and value engineering projects aimed at optimizing costs and enhancing brand profitability.
• Support the design and implementation of sustainable packaging solutions in alignment with environmental goals.
• Conduct market benchmarking to stay current with industry trends and drive competitive innovation.
• Manage the new vendor development process to reduce vendor dependency, improve quality, and achieve cost optimization.
• Handle vendor negotiations and ensure competitive and efficient packaging material costing.
