Job Description
- As an IT Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the organization's IT systems
- Your responsibilities will include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, implementing system upgrades, and collaborating with IT teams to enhance overall operational efficiency
- System Monitoring:Monitor the performance and availability of IT systems, servers, and network infrastructure
- Implement proactive measures to identify and address potential issues
- Incident Management:Respond to IT incidents and service requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues
- System Upgrades and Patching:Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and firmware updates
- Ensure that systems are up-to-date with the latest security and performance enhancements
- Backup and Recovery:Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to safeguard critical data
- Test and verify the effectiveness of backup and recovery processes
- Documentation:Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures
- Create and update documentation for troubleshooting and operational procedures
- Collaboration:Collaborate with other IT teams, including network, security, and applications, to address cross-functional operational needs
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives
- Capacity Planning:Monitor system resource usage and participate in capacity planning activities
- Provide recommendations for hardware and software upgrades based on capacity assessments
- User Support:Provide support to end-users for IT-related issues
- Communicate effectively with users to understand and resolve their technical concerns
