Assistant Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of crushing, feeding, and screening equipment tailored to bulk material handling applications.
• Define design standards, methodologies, and innovation goals for the product line.
• Coordinate with Business Development to align design efforts with market needs and customer requirements.
• Review and approve detailed mechanical designs, layouts and component specifications.
• Ensure integration of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in equipment designs.
• Resolve complex design challenges related to vibration, wear, material flow, and structural integrity.
• Oversee the development of new models and variants of crushers (e.g., jaw, cone, impact), feeders (e.g., apron, belt, vibrating), and screens (e.g., linear, circular, trommel).
• Support customization for specific applications such as mining, aggregates, cement, and recycling.
• Guide prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, BIS, OSHA).
• Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, service, and sales teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Support installation and commissioning teams with technical documentation and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with vendors for component selection and specification alignment.
• Supervise and mentor design engineers and draftsmen.
• Foster a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Drive initiatives to reduce design and production costs through modularity, material selection, and process improvements.
• Analyze field performance data to improve reliability and maintainability of equipment.
• Stay updated on advancements in crushing, screening, and feeding technologies.
• Evaluate and adopt new design tools, automation techniques, and digital engineering practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Mechanical Engineer with experience in Core design in Material Handling Equipment
• Design working experience of products like Stacker-Reclaimer, Wagon tippler, Crusher, feeders, Conveyors ..etc.
