Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle corporate tax assessments, appeals, and litigation including drafting replies, attending hearings, and coordinating with tax consultants/legal counsel.
- Manage tax audits under Income Tax Act and assist in statutory audits.
- Monitor and manage advance tax computations and payments.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory support to ensure tax efficiency and compliance.
- Review and validate tax-related financial transactions and provisions.
- Analyze the impact of changes in tax laws and regulations on the business and communicate implications.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance under Transfer Pricing regulations, if applicable.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants on tax issues and audits.
- Support M&A due diligence and restructuring from a direct tax perspective, as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of direct tax laws and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
Additional certifications in tax or law would be an added advantage
