We are seeking a strategic and tech-savvy Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the global marketing function for our cybersecurity company. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CMO will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand leadership, demand generation, and revenue acceleration in a competitive and rapidly evolving security landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Define and execute a bold, differentiated marketing strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives in cybersecurity and information risk management.
- Build and scale the brand as a trusted, innovative, and industry-leading security provider.
- Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to support revenue growth and market expansion.
Demand Generation & Growth Marketing:
- Drive pipeline growth through integrated campaigns across digital, content, email, SEO/SEM, and ABM (Account-Based Marketing).
- Optimize lead generation, nurturing, and conversion efforts using data-driven strategies.
- Own performance marketing metrics and continuously improve customer acquisition costs and lifetime value.
Brand & Thought Leadership:
- Lead the development of thought leadership content and partnerships with industry influencers, analysts, and security communities.
- Manage PR, media relations, and speaking opportunities to elevate brand visibility.
- Shape messaging and storytelling around the company's vision, products, and market relevance.
Product & Technical Marketing:
- Oversee the positioning and messaging of complex cybersecurity solutions to enterprise, mid-market, and government clients.
- Enable sales teams with competitive intelligence, battle cards, and product collaterals.
- Understand buyer personas like CISOs, CIOs, IT Heads, and align marketing language accordingly.
Customer & Market Intelligence:
- Lead market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy and product-market fit.
- Build feedback loops from clients and industry to refine GTM (go-to-market) execution.
Team & Budget Management
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team across geographies.
- Manage and optimize the global marketing budget, ensuring high ROI from campaigns and partnerships.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 15+ years in marketing roles, with at least 5 years in a senior marketing leadership position within cybersecurity, enterprise SaaS, or information security services.
- Deep understanding of the cybersecurity ecosystem, buyer behavior, and regulatory landscape.
- Strong command over digital marketing, content, and B2B lead generation in a technical industry.
- Proven success in scaling marketing functions in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- MBA or Master's in Marketing/Communications/Business preferred.
