Senior Program Manager (7-10 yrs)

Requirements :

- Experience : 7-10 years of progressive experience managing large-scale programs, preferably within product and technology-driven environments such as e-commerce, SaaS (Software as a Service), or platform companies.

- Technical Acumen : Minimum 2 years of prior experience as a Software Developer or Quality Engineer, demonstrating a foundational understanding of the software development process and technologies. Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is essential.

- Program Leadership : Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple technical teams, product stakeholders, and external dependencies, driving projects to successful completion.

- Stakeholder Management : Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively engage and influence senior leadership, articulate program vision, and manage expectations across diverse teams.

- Program Management Expertise : Deep understanding of program management methodologies, tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira), and best practices, including program planning, scheduling, resource management, and dependency tracking.

- Risk and Issue Management : Proven expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating program risks, effectively handling escalations, and driving timely resolution of critical issues under pressure.

- Documentation and Communication : Comfortable with creating structured program documentation (e.g., project plans, risk registers, status reports), understanding system design principles, and facilitating efficient, outcome-focused meetings.

- SDLC Understanding : Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience managing technical projects end-to-end, from initial brainstorming and

conceptualization through to successful go-live and post-launch support.

- Tool Proficiency : Proficiency in utilizing program management tools such as MS Project and Jira for planning, tracking, and reporting, as well as strong skills in data analysis and

presentation using Excel.

- Team Leadership (Preferred) : Experience in mentoring and providing guidance to program

management teams or individual program managers is a significant plus.

Responsibilities :

- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, complex technical programs across multiple teams and product areas.

- Define program scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with product

management, engineering leadership, and other stakeholders.

- Develop comprehensive program plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and

dependency management, utilizing tools like MS Project and Jira.

- Effectively manage and communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all

levels, including senior leadership.

- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate program risks and dependencies, developing

contingency plans as needed.

- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication across engineering, product,

design, and other relevant teams to ensure alignment and successful program outcomes.

- Drive efficient and outcome-focused meetings, ensuring clear agendas, action items, and

follow-up.

- Maintain comprehensive program documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk

registers, and decision logs.

- Apply a strong understanding of the SDLC to effectively manage technical projects from initiation to deployment and beyond.

- Leverage prior experience as a Software Developer or Quality Engineer to understand

technical complexities and facilitate effective communication with engineering teams.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of program management methodologies and best

practices within the organization.

- Potentially mentor and guide other program managers within the team, fostering their

professional growth and development.
