Job Description:
Data Analyst Responsibilities:
- Participate in discovery processes, collaborating with key stakeholders to identify business requirements and expected outcomes.
- Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Use statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics.
- Design and build dashboards and reports using Power BI, or other data visualisation tools to provide actionable insights.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data analysis processes and methodologies.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate data insights into software applications and business processes.
- Define business-specific performance metrics to measure data analysis effectiveness and monitor these metrics over time.
Data Analyst Requirements:
- Graduate in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3 or more years of relevant data analysis experience, particularly in collecting, organising, analysing, and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Excellent understanding of statistical techniques and their applications.
- Programming experience in Python for data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Great communication skills and ability to convey complex topics to a cross-functional audience.
