Makeup Artist

We are searching for a person who has a creative flair, practical ability and an up-to-date knowledge of fashion and beauty trends. You will be joining us as a makeup artist and working with the creative team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To Enhance facial aesthetics through makeup
• To work with actors on movie sets
• To Take lighting and setting into consideration when applying makeup
• To find out which materials and colors are the most suitable
• To Work in coordination with costume designers, set designers and stylists to ensure consistency
• To ensure hair styling is done in accordance to makeup
• To apply touchups as and when needed
• To go through scripts to ascertain the materials and the look required as directed by the Creative Director
• To draw designs for future look
• To be able to purchase cosmetics and applicators from vendors and negotiate price
• To make sure makeup looks natural and well-applied under different lighting
• To maintain an awareness of the latest trends in beauty
• To be able to use models and fashion magazines as reference points
• To be able to understand what a film director wants a character to look like
• To remove makeup after usage on film sets
• To consult clients/actors on their skincare routines
• To operate within health and safety regulations

Qualifications Skills

• Must have a degree/diploma in Make up from any academy or institute
• Should have proven experience as make up artist and have participated in fashion shows, individual event, entertainment industry
• Must be having a diverse cosmetic toolkit
• Must pay attention to details
• Should possess a creative mindset
