Engineering Manager - Full Stack Development (7-12 yrs)

Job Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead a team of passionate software engineers, drive technical excellence, and deliver high-impact products at scale. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in Go, Python, and Java, with front-end familiarity in React, and hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure. As a leader, you will be responsible for team growth, project delivery, system design, and promoting a healthy engineering culture.

Responsibilities :

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support to team members.

- Drive the technical vision and strategy for your team's projects, ensuring alignment with the overall company goals and architectural direction.

- Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and timelines.

- Plan and manage the execution of projects, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.

- Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and QA, to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.

- Champion and enforce best practices for software development, including coding standards, code reviews, testing methodologies, and documentation.

- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional growth and development within the team.

- Participate in the recruitment process, including interviewing and hiring talented engineers. Ensure smooth onboarding of new team members.

- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team in solving complex engineering challenges. Participate in technical design discussions and decision-making.

- Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with projects, ensuring proactive measures are taken to prevent issues.

- Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.

- Stay abreast of the latest technology trends and evaluate their potential application to our products and services.

Requirements :

Technical Skills :

- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals.

- 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams (preferably agile, cross-functional).

- Proficiency in Go and Python, with production experience.

- Experience with Java and React in full-stack or service-oriented architectures.

- Deep understanding of microservices architecture, REST/gRPC APIs, and system design.

- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps tools is a strong plus.
