We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Regional Development Manager to drive growth and expansion efforts within the assigned region.
The role demands a strong mix of strategic planning, business development, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in scaling operations, identifying new business opportunities, and establishing a strong regional presence aligned with overall company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute a regional expansion and development strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
- Identify new market opportunities, potential territories, and untapped segments within the region.
- Work closely with the corporate team to implement regional initiatives, growth models, and KPIs.
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Generate leads and develop partnerships with key stakeholders, channel partners, and corporate clients.
- Drive new business acquisition through presentations, market pitches, and strategic proposals.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and convert prospects into long-term clients.
Sales & Performance Management
- Set regional sales targets, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed goals.
- Analyze regional trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to optimize strategy.
- Oversee regional P&L and ensure achievement of revenue, profit, and margin targets.
Operations & Market Execution
- Ensure smooth execution of operations in the region including logistics, supply chain, and customer fulfillment (where applicable).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Product, HR, and Customer Support.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to operational standards, compliance, and service-level agreements.
Team Management & Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing regional team including Area Managers, Business Development Executives, or Sales Officers.
- Provide mentoring, regular feedback, and career development support to team members.
- Foster a performance-oriented culture and drive accountability at all levels.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 712 years of experience in regional business development, area sales management, or territory expansion roles.
- Proven track record of scaling business units, achieving regional revenue targets, and developing new markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret regional data and derive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office Suite, and regional reporting tools
