Senior Analyst - Credit Risk - Global Aviation Finance Firm (4-8 yrs)

Profile: Sr. Credit Risk Analyst (Global Aviation Finance Office)

Location: Mumbai

Position details :

Credit team in preparing new borrower rating papers, produce the first draft of annual borrower rating reviews and complete first drafts of the comprehensive annual aircraft financial rating reviews within due dates.

The role focuses on the preparation of forward-looking fundamental analysis in support of client onboarding, live transactions, facility renewals and annual reviews.

The analyst will manage an individual portfolio and, over time, be expected to develop both a sector expertise and deep individual counterparty understanding, facilitating a comprehensive top down and bottom up risk review process.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Prepare the drafts of the annual Borrower Rating (BR) and annual Aircraft Finance Rating ("AFR") for airlines and lessors

- Spread financials of the airlines and lessors to be submitted along with the renewal format

- Draft and develop cashflow forecast models to support recommendations

- Participate in credit due diligence as part of the portfolio review process

- AFR analysis includes but is not limited to, Loan to Value analysis, facility updates/summary, loan outstanding update and underlying asset analysis.

- Quickly assess pertinent credit issues, raising salient points to the correct stakeholders and analyse the risk reward trade-off.

- Elevate any potential issues to Senior Management at an early stage so that these can be dealt with appropriately.

Requirement:

- 4 - 8 years of experience in reviewing and writing counterparty credit analysis (inclusive of financial analysis, market standing, industry trends) of Airlines and/or Aircraft Lessors within a 1st or 2nd line of defense risk function.

- Credit experience working with IG and NIG counterparties

- A good understanding of loan and ISDA/CSA documentation

- Aviation coverage (as outlined above) would be viewed favorably, other asset-finance experience would also be beneficial.
