Job Title: Country Head & Business Development Manager - MENA (Oilfield Chemicals)

Location: Mumbai, India OR Dubai

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Country Head & Business Development Manager to lead our expansion and growth within the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for our oilfield chemicals business. Based in either Mumbai or Dubai, you will be responsible for the overall business strategy, P&L management, and driving significant revenue growth through effective business development activities. This role requires a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry in MENA, a proven track record in oilfield chemicals sales, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will serve as the primary tender focal point and will report directly to the management team. This role involves approximately 50% travel within the MENA region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the country's business strategy to achieve sales targets, market share growth, and profitability within the MENA region.

- P&L Management: Take full ownership and accountability for the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the company's operations in the MENA region, ensuring financial targets are met.

- Business Development: Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the oil and gas sector across the MENA region. This includes direct sales efforts, networking, and market analysis.

- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including NOCs, IOCs, and service companies.

- Tender Management: Serve as the primary focal point for all tender processes, including identifying opportunities, preparing compelling technical and commercial proposals, and managing the bid submission process.

- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes within the MENA oil and gas industry.

- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, market analysis reports, and regular updates on business development activities to the management team.

- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including technical support, supply chain, and marketing, to ensure seamless customer service and effective market penetration.

- Travel: Undertake significant travel (approximately 50%) across the MENA region to meet with clients, attend industry events, and pursue business opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales and business development within the oilfield chemicals industry, with a significant focus on the MENA region.

- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and managing P&L responsibilities.

- Deep understanding of oilfield chemical applications, technologies, and the procurement processes within the MENA oil and gas sector.

- Extensive network of contacts within NOCs, IOCs, and oilfield service companies in the MENA region.

- Demonstrated experience in managing the end-to-end tender process, from identification to contract award.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

- Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.

- Willingness to travel extensively within the MENA region.
