Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SCCM Lead to manage and optimize our Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) environment. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of relevant experience, possessing a deep understanding of SCCM architecture, patch management, and software distribution processes.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to lead technical initiatives within a global delivery and multi-stakeholder environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient deployment, management, and troubleshooting of systems and software across our enterprise.

Key Responsibilities :

- Understand and analyze customer requirements thoroughly for SCCM-related initiatives, current SCCM architecture, and configured functionalities.

- Oversee and optimize the Patch Management process and the comprehensive software distribution process within SCCM.

- Configure and fine-tune various SCCM components and client settings to ensure optimal performance and compliance.

- Lead and manage Operating System Deployment (OSD) using SCCM, including task sequence creation, image management, and deployment.

- Drive the deployment of software and software update management using SCCM, ensuring timely and successful distribution across the enterprise.

- Generate comprehensive compliance reports related to software and OS updates, and establish an enhanced process for these critical activities.

- Provide expert support for post-migration issues, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.

- Generate weekly migration status reports, providing clear and concise updates to stakeholders.

- Actively contribute to a diverse and multi-stakeholder environment, collaborating effectively with various teams globally.

- Apply strong analytical skills to identify issues, interpret data, and propose effective solutions.

- Demonstrate a desire and capability to work effectively within a Global delivery environment.

Problem Solving and Troubleshooting :

- Perform advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving for all SCCM-related issues, including client health, distribution points, software deployments, and OSD failures.

- Diagnose and resolve complex configuration challenges within SCCM components and client settings.

- Identify root causes for failed OS deployments, software installations, and update compliance issues, implementing lasting solutions.

- Proactively monitor SCCM health and performance, addressing potential issues before they impact operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 7+ years of relevant, hands-on experience in SCCM Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.

- Strong understanding of SCCM architecture, its various roles, and configured functionalities.

- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Patch Management processes and tools within SCCM.

- Expertise in software distribution and application deployment using SCCM.

- Proficient in Operating System Deployment OSD using SCCM, including image creation and task sequence development.

- Ability to generate and analyze SCCM compliance reports.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

- Proven ability to work effectively in a team in a diverse and multiple stakeholder environment.

- Experience working in a Global delivery environment.

Good to Have Skills :

- Experience in creating a Design / Architect / Migration strategy / plan for SCCM (specifically 2012 or current branch, latest versions) implementation.

- Knowledge of mobile management solutions / application and OS deployment solutions beyond traditional SCCM.

- Experience with Image Operating System Creation and customization.

- Expertise in Application compatibility testing and Application packaging to create applications supporting the latest operating systems including Windows 10.

- Relevant Microsoft certifications.
