iAgami Technologies - Playwright/Automation Test Engineer (7-8 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Test Automation Strategy & Execution : Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks using Cypress and Playwright as primary tools.

- Ownership & Accountability : Take full ownership of automation deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality execution of test suites.

- Quality Advocacy : Drive a quality-first mindset within the team, proactively identifying areas for improvement in testing processes and methodologies.

- Framework Development : Enhance and extend existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency, coverage, and maintainability.

- Cross-Platform Testing : Implement and execute automated tests across UI, API, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) levels.

- Performance Testing : Design and execute performance tests to ensure the scalability and responsiveness of our applications.

- Backend Validation : Develop and execute automated tests for backend frameworks such as Quarkus and Spring.

- Collaboration : Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and integrate automation seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline.

- Test Reporting & Analysis : Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide clear and concise reports to the development team.

- Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in test automation and advocate for their adoption.

- Mentorship (Potentially) : Mentor and guide junior automation engineers within the team.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software test automation.

Mandatory : Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

Mandatory : 2-4 years of hands-on experience with Cypress and Playwright for UI and E2E automation.

- Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.

- Proven experience in automating API testing, integration testing, UI testing, and end-to-end testing scenarios.

- Experience testing backend applications built with frameworks like Quarkus and/or Spring.

- ISTQB certification (Foundation Level or higher).

Bonus Points For :

- Experience with Squish automation tool.

- Proficiency in Java.

- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

- Experience with test management tools (e., Jira with Xray/Zephyr).

- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills
