Senior Librarian - Arts and Science College

The Senior Librarian at JKKN College of Arts and Science will be responsible for managing the library operations and services, leading the library team, and ensuring that the library is a vital resource for the college community. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to ensure that the library meets the needs of the curriculum, research, and community outreach programs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement library policies and procedures that align with the mission and vision of the college.
• Oversee the library budget, including procurement, maintenance, and renewal of library materials, equipment, and technologies.
• Provide leadership and supervision to library staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop and deliver information literacy instruction and research support to students.
• Develop and maintain the library collection, including selecting, acquiring, cataloging, and preserving materials.
• Foster relationships with local and national libraries, information networks, and other organizations to enhance library services.
• Collaborate with academic departments and other units to support and promote research and scholarly activities.

Qualifications:

• A Masters degree in Library Science or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in an academic library.
• Experience in library management, budgeting, and supervision.
• Strong commitment to the mission and vision of the college.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative library services and programs.
• Expertise in library technologies and information resources.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in academic librarianship.
