PROFESSOR

The Professor, Department of Basic Science will play a key role in achieving the colleges mission of enabling a platform for all to seize exponential opportunities, thereby facilitating them to become dynamic leaders. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students, as well as conducting research in the field of basic sciences that support the study of dentistry.

Responsibilities:

• Teach and mentor students in the Basic Science courses for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery program
• Develop and implement curricula that align with the colleges mission and vision
• Conduct research in the field of basic sciences that support the study of dentistry, with the goal of advancing the profession and contributing to the body of knowledge
• Collaborate with other departments and colleges to foster interdisciplinary research and education
• Mentor and supervise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
• Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings and committees

Qualifications:

• A Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree in Basic Science or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Basic Science at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
• A strong record of research and publications in the field of basic sciences relevant to dentistry
• A proven track record of teaching and mentoring experience
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and students
• A commitment to the mission and vision of JKKN College of Dental and Hospital
