Zonal Head Sales

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve zonal targets in line with company goals in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers, Sales Officers, and Field Executives.
• Analyse sales trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and risks.
• Ensure effective channel management by building strong relationships with distributors, stockists, and key retailers.
• Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare sales forecasts, and performance reports.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure product availability and promotional support.
• Execute product launches, trade marketing initiatives, and promotional schemes effectively in the zone.
• Identify and drive expansion in underpenetrated markets.
• Ensure strict adherence to company policies, compliance, and ethical business practices.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to the sales team.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Experience: 8 to 12 years of experience in sales and distribution, preferably in FMCG/Consumer Goods/Pharma, with at least 2 to 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the zone.
• Age: 40-50 years.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Market share growth in the zone.
• Distribution reach and width/depth metrics.
• New market development and coverage.
• Team performance and capability development.
• Execution of marketing and trade initiatives.
