Deputy General Manager - Manufacturing Excellence (10-19 yrs)

AGM/DGM - Manufacturing Excellence to lead operational excellence initiatives across the plant. The role requires driving transformation through Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and Industry 4.0 practices to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and drive the manufacturing excellence roadmap aligned with business and operational goals

- Lead deployment of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies

- Identify performance improvement opportunities across production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain

- Lead cross-functional projects focused on OEE improvement, cost reduction, waste elimination, and cycle time optimization

- Establish and monitor KPIs to track manufacturing performance and process improvements

- Facilitate employee engagement and capability building in operational excellence tools and techniques

- Work with digital teams to integrate Industry 4.0 solutions like IoT, MES, and real-time data analytics

- Drive standardization of processes and sustain best practices across plants or business units

- Support audit readiness, ISO/TS compliance, and sustainability initiatives

Qualifications

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering

- 10-20 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5+ years in driving excellence initiatives

- Deep expertise in Lean, TPM, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt certified), and other CI frameworks

- Proven experience leading plant-wide transformation or cost-saving projects

- Proficient in analytics, ERP/MES systems, and data-driven decision-making

- Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to automotive, precision engineering, FMCG, or high-volume manufacturing

- Experience implementing digital manufacturing initiatives (e.g., smart factory, real-time dashboards)

- Hands-on with value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and process re-engineering
