Role & responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance:
   
• Ensure timely preventive maintenance of shape molding machines, pre-expanders, compressors, boilers, and utility systems.
  
• Minimize equipment downtime through efficient breakdown analysis and corrective action.
  
2. Machine Operation & Efficiency:
   
• Monitor and maintain smooth functioning of thermocol shape molding machines
  
• Optimize machine performance to reduce cycle time, energy consumption, and raw material wastage.
  
3. Utility Maintenance:
   
• Maintain compressors, chillers, ETP/STP, cooling towers, and electrical panels.
  
• Monitor power load and energy consumption; implement energy-saving initiatives.
  
4. Spare Management:
   
• Maintain minimum stock levels of critical spares.
  
• Plan and coordinate with the purchase team for timely procurement.
  
5. Documentation & Compliance:
   
• Maintain maintenance logs, equipment history, and calibration records.
  
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety and environmental norms (e.g., boiler inspection, pollution control board).
  
6. Team Handling:
   
• Lead a team of technicians and contractors for day-to-day activities.
  
• Conduct skill enhancement training for maintenance personnel.
  
7. New Projects & Installations:
   
• Support new machinery installation, trial runs, and commissioning.
  
• Coordinate with OEMs for technical support and upgrades.
  
8. Coordination:
   
• Liaise with production, quality, and safety departments for smooth plant operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  
• Experience: 10 to 16 years in Maintenance
  
• Industry: Any Manufacturing / Plastic/ EPS / EPP / Plastic Injection Molding / Packaging
  
• Skills Required:
  
• Strong technical knowledge in shape molding machinery, utilities, and hydraulics/pneumatics
  
• Hands-on experience in preventive maintenance systems
  
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA)
  
• Leadership skills and team management
  
• Knowledge of ISO & statutory compliance
