Position Overview:

- KPMG India is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager/Assistant Manager - Water Resource Engineering & Irrigation Expert to join our Government Advisory team.

- The role is pivotal in shaping strategy and delivering cutting-edge, tech-enabled solutions across water resources, irrigation, and infrastructure projects.

- The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strategic insight to support project delivery, client engagement, and business development in the water and irrigation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and support the design, planning, and implementation of water resources and irrigation infrastructure projects.

- Prepare detailed technical proposals, feasibility studies, and engineering reports in alignment with project objectives.

- Provide subject matter expertise in hydraulic structures, sustainable water management systems, and irrigation planning.

- Conduct technical evaluations and reviews of project documents, drawings, and design calculations.

- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including policy experts, economists, GIS specialists, and engineers to deliver integrated solutions.

- Engage with government clients and international stakeholders to support project execution and drive impact.

- Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations for both national and international assignments.

- Travel extensively across project locations for site visits, assessments, and stakeholder consultations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or Irrigation Engineering.

- Master's degree in Civil/Water Resources/Irrigation Engineering or Irrigation Economics from a reputed institution.

- Minimum 10 years of experience in the design and development of hydraulic structures, supervision of water resources projects, and sustainable water management.

- Proven track record of delivering at least three major assignments in relevant areas such as irrigation system design, water resource planning, or infrastructure supervision.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to work on international projects.

- Prior experience working with international engineering consultancy firms or donor-funded projects (preferred).

- Demonstrated ability to deliver data-driven and technology-based solutions to address sectoral challenges.
