SAP WM Consultant - E2E Implementation (6-20 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP WM Specialist with expertise in third-party logistics (3PL) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting and managing our SAP Warehouse Management system to ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate warehouse operations while collaborating with 3PL partners to manage external logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP Warehouse Management :

- Configure, implement, and maintain SAP WM functionality.

- Manage daily warehouse operations, including stock movements, inbound and outbound processes, and inventory management using SAP WM.

- Develop and execute warehouse processes in SAP, such as goods receipt (GR), goods issue (GI), and stock transfers.

- Monitor and resolve SAP WM system issues related to warehouse operations and inventory discrepancies.

- Ensure integration between SAP WM and other SAP modules, such as SAP MM (Materials Management) and SAP SD (Sales and Distribution).

3PL Coordination and Management :

- Act as the main liaison between the organization and third-party logistics providers.

- Oversee and manage the flow of goods in coordination with 3PL partners to ensure timely deliveries and accuracy.

- Monitor 3PL performance, including accuracy of inventory management, timely shipments, and cost efficiency.

- Develop and implement processes for managing 3PL services, including transportation, warehousing, and order fulfillment.

Inventory and Warehouse Optimization :

- Work on continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse layout, processes, and operations.

- Implement best practices for inventory control and material handling in the SAP system.

- Analyze data from SAP and 3PL systems to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement in the warehouse or 3PL operations.

Reporting and Documentation :

- Prepare and maintain reports on warehouse operations, 3PL performance, and inventory management.

- Generate and analyze reports on inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).

- Support audit activities by providing required documentation and inventory data.

Troubleshooting and Support :

- Provide ongoing support for SAP WM users and troubleshoot issues related to warehouse processes, SAP WM functionality, and 3PL operations.

- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure system updates and patches are applied and resolve any SAP-related issues.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

- 3+ years of experience working with SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and/or Logistics modules.

- Experience working with 3PL providers and understanding of logistics operations.

- Strong knowledge of SAP WM functionality, including goods receipt, inventory management, and stock transfer processes.

- Proficient in SAP MM (Materials Management) and SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) modules.

- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and logistics.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external partners (3PL providers) to drive operational efficiency.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Experience with warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics management.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP WM Certification.

- Familiarity with 3PL software systems and integration with SAP.

- Project management experience.

- Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
