Project Management Support : They assist in planning, coordinating, and managing mechanical projects, such as equipment installations, upgrades, and facility expansions, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Maintenance Supervision : They oversee the maintenance activities for mechanical systems, including machinery, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, plumbing, and utilities, to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Staff Supervision and Training : They supervise and provide guidance to mechanical technicians, engineers, and maintenance staff, assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring that work is performed safely and efficiently. Troubleshooting and Problem-solving : They troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maximize equipment uptime. Safety and Compliance : They ensure that mechanical operations comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. They promote a culture of safety and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. Inventory and Spare Parts Management : They oversee inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment needed for mechanical maintenance and repair activities, ensuring that adequate supplies are available to support operations. Budget Management : They assist in preparing and managing budgets for mechanical maintenance, repairs, and projects, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Vendor and Contractor Management : They liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers for procurement of parts, equipment, and specialized services. They negotiate contracts, evaluate vendor performance, and ensure that work meets quality standards and deadlines. Documentation and Record-keeping : They maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, repairs, and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating data-driven decision-making.
