Devsecops Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in

either Linux System Administration or DevOps Engineering. The ideal candidate will have

deep hands-on experience in managing secure and scalable systems, automation pipelines,

and cloud-native technologies. Experience with system architecture, infrastructure security,

cloud services (AWS), and application performance monitoring is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, and maintain secure, scalable DevSecOps infrastructure across cloud

and on-prem platforms.

• Manage and monitor Linux-based systems (RHEL, CentOS, Debian) with a strong

emphasis on performance, availability, and security.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab to automate build, test,

and deployment processes.

• Work with Nginx, Tomcat, and Squid Proxy to manage application hosting, load

balancing, and caching strategies.

• Implement and maintain infrastructure and application monitoring using tools such as

Zabbix, ElasticSearch, Kibana, and APM tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog).

• Manage and secure services using Vault, Cloudflare, and Palo Alto with a focus on

secrets management, domain security, and firewall rules understanding.

• Architect and manage Disaster Recovery (DR) processes.
• Responsible for handling and managing the integration of client-specific, server-specific

domain certificate configurations and their lifecycles.

• Perform automated provisioning and golden image management using Packer.
• Engage in cloud infrastructure management and automation using key AWS Services

such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and RDS, etc.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, Security, Infra) to troubleshoot

application and infrastructure issues across environments.

• Participate in regular security audits, patching, and policy enforcement across

environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in either Linux System Administration or DevOps

roles.

• Strong working knowledge of:

○ Linux OS internals, system performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

○ DevOps tools: Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible/Chef/Puppet.

○ Web and application servers: Nginx, Tomcat.

○ Monitoring and observability tools: Zabbix, APM, ElasticSearch, Kibana,

Wazuh.

○ Networking fundamentals, Cloudflare, and Squid Proxy configuration.

• Proven experience in working with AWS foundational services.
• Practical understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes is a

plus).

• Experience with Vault, Packer, and Redis in production environments.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto (basic process flow and rule-based access understanding).
• Strong scripting ability in Python, Bash, or Node.js for automation tasks.
• Hands-on experience in DR planning and migration activities.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive attitude toward learning and system

improvement.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Certified Kubernetes

Administrator (CKA), or RHCE are a plus.
