About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Sales Manager to spearhead the business development of our Tender platform Tenderbook.
Tenderbook is an intelligent SaaS platform that helps businesses discover, track, and apply for relevant government and private tenders with ease.
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying key customer segments, onboarding B2B clients, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
- Identify and acquire new clients from sectors like infrastructure, EPC, engineering, manufacturing, MSMEs, and consultants who actively bid for tenders.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with CXOs, Purchase Heads, and Tendering Managers to ensure repeat business and long-term engagement.
Product Pitching:
- Conduct compelling product demos (web/app), clearly articulating the value proposition and benefits of Tenderbook over legacy systems or competitor tools.
Lead Generation & Pipeline Management:
- Generate qualified leads through outbound campaigns, events, industry networks, and referrals.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools.
Market Research:
- Stay updated on government e-procurement trends, tendering processes, and competitor offerings.
- Provide customer feedback to influence the product roadmap.
Revenue & Target Ownership:
- Own and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare forecasts and regular performance reports for senior management.
Requirements:
- 3-6 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, enterprise sales, or government e-procurement services.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Understanding of the Indian tendering ecosystem, GeM, CPPP, and state tender platforms is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable with CRM tools and data-driven sales.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous sales experience (3+ years), preferably in the e-tenders segment.
- Exposure to client segments such as contractors, vendors, PSUs, and project consultants.
