Job Description
Ideal candidate will have a passion for creating and maintaining design systems, and helping the team in applying them across mobile app and website to create an elegant and usable product experience.
The position requires providing deliverables under tight deadlines and supporting the development team to ensure pixel-perfect implementation. High standards of design aesthetics, as well as attention to detail, and the ability to mediate and cope with rapid changes. Above all, the role requires a dedicated individual who understands Android Material Library and iOS Human Interface Guidelines to its core.
Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and creative UI Designer with 2-3 years of experience, specializing in designing apps for kids. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of design fundamentals, user experience principles, and a deep appreciation for how children interact with digital interfaces. You will work closely with our product and development teams to craft visually engaging and intuitive experiences tailored for kids aged 4-7.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop engaging UI experiences specifically for kids apps, considering usability, accessibility, and engagement.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs in tools such as Figma, Adobe Suite, and Affinity.
- Develop interactive and visually appealing interfaces that align with the cognitive abilities and preferences of young users.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to refine designs based on kids behavior and feedback.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure a seamless and delightful user experience.
- Maintain design consistency and contribute to a design system tailored for kids digital experiences.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in childrens app design.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of proven experience in UI design, specifically working on kids apps.
- Strong knowledge of design principles, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Expertise in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and Affinity.
- Ability to think from a childs perspective and design experiences that are fun, interactive, and educational.
- Knowledge of gamification and engagement strategies for childrens digital products.
- Strong understanding of usability, accessibility, and interaction design principles for young audiences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A portfolio showcasing work on kids apps, demonstrating creativity and user-centric design thinking.
