DevOps Engineer - System Reliability (5-8 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with over 5 years of experience to streamline our development and deployment processes, enhance system reliability, and ensure scalability.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes (GKE), and Jenkins, along with familiarity in Agile tools like Jira.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes.

- Deploy, monitor, and scale applications using Kubernetes (GKE).

- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to integrate DevOps methodologies into all phases of the software development lifecycle.

- Manage and monitor infrastructure components in Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage).

- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security by implementing best DevOps practices.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, if applicable).

- Use Jira for project tracking, task management, and sprint planning.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong understanding and application of DevOps principles and best practices

- Expertise in Kubernetes (preferably GKE) for container orchestration and management

- Proficiency in Jenkins for CI/CD automation

- Hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance

- Working knowledge of Jira for issue tracking and Agile project management

- Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools

- Familiarity with Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools for monitoring and deployment

- Knowledge of Docker and containerization best practices

- Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks

- Experience with GitOps, ArgoCD, or FluxCD

- Understanding of security best practices in DevOps environments
