RO Plant Operator @ Andaman

Role & responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the RO water treatment plant including pre-treatment (sand filter, carbon filter), membrane system, dosing systems, and post-treatment units.
• Check and maintain pressure gauges, flow meters, and conductivity meters regularly.
• Perform routine backwashing and chemical cleaning of membranes (CIP).
• Maintain accurate operational records including flow rates, chemical dosages, and water quality parameters.
• Conduct daily water quality testing pH, TDS, turbidity, chlorine, hardness, etc.
• Coordinate with maintenance team for repairs and preventive maintenance of pumps, valves, filters, and electrical components.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals (antiscalant, coagulants, chlorine, etc.)
• Report malfunctions and suggest improvements in efficiency and cost-saving.
• Comply with safety, environmental, and health procedures.
• Prepare and submit daily and monthly reports to supervisors or engineers.
