• Design & Development:
  
• Design mechanical components, systems, or processes using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  
• Develop and test prototypes, and refine designs based on performance analysis.
  
• Project Planning & Execution:
  
• Prepare and review engineering plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
  
• Manage and oversee project timelines, resources, and execution from conception to completion.
  
• Installation & Commissioning:
  
• Supervise installation of mechanical equipment and systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, piping, machines).
  
• Ensure proper commissioning and performance testing of installed systems.
  
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
  
• Plan and conduct preventive maintenance activities.
  
• Diagnose mechanical issues and provide timely solutions to ensure minimal downtime.

• Collaboration & Coordination:
  
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, and other engineering teams on cross-functional projects.
  
• Liaise with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
  
• Process Improvement:
  
• Evaluate existing mechanical systems and recommend modifications to improve efficiency.
  
• Implement cost-saving techniques and performance enhancements.
  
• Compliance & Safety:
  
• Ensure all work complies with environmental and safety regulations.
  
• Participate in risk assessments and enforce safety protocols on-site.

Technical Skills

1. MEP System Design
   
• Proficiency in designing mechanical (HVAC), electrical (lighting, power), and plumbing (water supply, drainage, fire fighting) systems.
  
2. AutoCAD / Revit MEP / BIM
   
• Strong knowledge of drafting and modeling software used for MEP layouts and clash detection.
  
3. Project Management
   
• Ability to manage project timelines, cost estimation, resource planning, and execution across all MEP services.
  
4. HVAC Knowledge
   
• In-depth understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system design, ducting, load calculation, and system balancing.
  
5. Electrical System Expertise
   
• Knowledge of lighting systems, load distribution, power layouts, earthing, and UPS/generator systems.
  
6. Plumbing and Fire Protection
   
• Proficiency in water supply systems, drainage, pump sizing, sprinkler systems, and compliance with fire safety standards.
  
7. Codes & Standards
   
• Familiarity with local and international building codes (NBC, ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, IPC, etc.).
  
8. Site Supervision & Coordination
   
• Experience in overseeing on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP works.
  
9. Clash Detection & Coordination
   
• Use of BIM tools to detect and resolve clashes between architectural, structural, and MEP elements.
  
10. Quantity Takeoff & BOQ Preparation
    

• Ability to calculate quantities and prepare Bill of Quantities for all MEP works.
