Job Description:

- Understand business problems from an analytical and statistical standpoint and accordingly define the problem statement(s) to focus on.

- Understand the data requirements to solve the problem and perform exhaustive exploratory analyses to discover trends and patterns.

- Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data.

- Build, evaluate and improve predictive models and machine-learning algorithms to assist in better business decision making.

- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams for product enhancement.

- Identify statistical techniques to improve the overall process of data engineering and model building.

- Carry out research work to improve the performance of machine learning models.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Masters in Statistics ( Maths/OR/Economics) / bachelor's in Engineering.

- Strong hands-on experience in Python is a must, Pyspark and SQL is preferred but not mandatory

- 1 to 3 years of Work Experience in BFSI Domain.

- Research oriented mindset with an ability to carry out independent research and validate the findings.

- Good, applied statistics, math's and algebra skills.

- Strong statistical and mathematical understanding of machine learning algorithms

- Experience in building supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Time Series forecasting.

- Strong communication and presentation skills
