Management Consultant - Public Sector - Consulting Firm - Contractual (4-15 yrs)

Our client, a global consulting firm is working on a high-impact large-scale administrative reform engagement with a progressive state government in India. The project focuses on overhauling key aspects of governance - specifically across human resources, technology systems, and public policy to drive long-term institutional transformation and improve public service delivery.

To support this initiative, the client is looking to onboard a Management Consultant with prior experience of working on public sector projects. The consultant will work on designing impactful reform strategies and supporting their end-to-end implementation, collaborating closely with senior bureaucrats and public sector stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

- Assist in designing and implementing administrative reforms across HR, tech, and policy domains.

- Coordinate closely with government departments to align on reform priorities and execution plans.

- Support day-to-day implementation activities and monitor key milestones.

- Prepare high-quality reports, policy notes, and presentations for senior government officials.

- Serve as a bridge between the consulting team and government stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination.

- Provide on-ground insights to help refine reform strategies and adjust implementation plans.

Your background:

- Minimum of 4-15 years of professional experience within public sector consulting, social reform, or government-related projects.

- Prior experience with government/PSU consulting firms (e.g., Sattva, Samagra, Dalberg) is preferred.

- Bachelors degree required, with advanced degrees in Public Policy, Business, or related fields preferred.

- Proven track record of working with senior government officials and cross-functional teams.

This opportunity will be on a 12-month contract with potential to extend up to 21 months, requiring the consultant to work full-time on-site in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to ensure effective collaboration with local stakeholders and seamless project execution. The consultant will need to relocate to Ahmedabad for the project's entire duration.
