Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer – BIM with 6+ years of industry experience to lead the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in structural engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing BIM processes, ensuring technical accuracy, coordinating with stakeholders, and delivering complex projects—such as data centers, multi-floor buildings, and industrial structures—primarily for US-based clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Oversee structural BIM deliverables across all project phases, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes while resolving issues in coordination with internal and external teams.
• BIM Modeling and Design: Develop and maintain 3D structural models using BIM software (e.g., Revit, Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, Navisworks) to represent structural systems and components.
• Ownership of Service Delivery: Take full responsibility for BIM service delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and quality standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to integrate structural systems into a unified and clash-free BIM model.
• Project Coordination: Manage BIM execution plans, model setup, and documentation workflows, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project milestones.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular model audits and quality checks to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with US and international standards.
• Clash Detection: Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or similar tools to preempt on-site conflicts.
• Workflow Optimization: Innovate and implement BIM processes to enhance efficiency in design, construction, and fabrication.
• Documentation: Prepare and manage structural drawings, schedules, quantity take-offs, and reports.
• Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for US clients, ensuring deliverables meet their expectations and standards.
• Estimation Support: Assist in quantity estimation and cost planning by leveraging accurate BIM models.
• Technical Excellence: Ensure designs comply with US building codes, industry standards, and best practices.
• Team Collaboration: Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Project Management: Support task allocation, progress tracking, and team coordination to ensure project success.
• Training and Development: Train junior staff to improve their BIM skills and support their professional growth.
• Technology Adoption: Stay updated with emerging BIM tools and technologies to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in BIM modeling and coordination for structural engineering projects.
• 2+ years of experience working with US clients is mandatory.
• Project Experience: Proven track record in data centers, multi-floor buildings, and other complex structural projects.
• BIM Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Revit, Tekla Structures, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of structural systems, construction methodologies, and detailing.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve design and coordination challenges proactively.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for effective teamwork and client interactions.
• Attention to Detail: Commitment to precision and quality in fast-paced environments.
• Standards Compliance: Knowledge of US building codes and Architectural standards is essential.
