Solution Architect (10-15 yrs)

Key Responsibilities:

- Be part of an independent, cross-location architecture team, helping to define best practices and standards.

- Clearly communicate the impact of changes and ensure sound design choices and technical approaches.

- Work closely with architects, product and engineering managers, tech leads, and developers of all levels to collaborate on solutions, make decisions, and lead by example.

- Proactively identify potential issues and suggest alternative solutions or approaches.

- Evaluate, recommend, and help develop new tools and techniques to improve development and architectural practices.

- Keep technical skills and knowledge up to date by attending (and sharing) in-house or external training, reading manuals, and experimenting with new tools or solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent relevant experience.

- Successfully delivered two or more complex applications or technologies.

- 10-15 years of hands-on development experience.

- Strong background in software engineering, ideally with object-oriented or functional programming languages on the JVM platform like Java, Scala, or Kotlin.

- Experience designing and implementing API best practices and using design and architectural patterns.

- Self-driven, able to work independently.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to share expertise and build relationships with developers and stakeholders across the industry.

- Deep knowledge of modern software design principles like modularity, event-driven architecture, functional programming, microservices, object-oriented design, optimization, extensibility, and testability.

- Stays updated with industry trends and new technologies.

Preferred:

- Experience working in a startup or product company, especially with high-traffic systems.

- Prior experience in a centralized architecture function is a plus.
