Head - Manufacturing Engineering - Tractor Industry (18-20 yrs)

Candidates only from Tractor/Auto segment will be given preference.

Head of Manufacturing Engineering will lead our Tractor Assembly productionization and Aggregates Assembly productionization, including Transmission, Hydraulics and Engine vertical.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in executing greenfield and brownfield projects within the tractor / auto industry, encompassing project planning, budgeting (CAPEX and REVEX), feasibility analysis for new projects, facility planning and management, and infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Planning and Execution:

- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of greenfield and brownfield projects for tractor assembly and aggregates assembly (Transmission and Engine).

- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

- Oversee the financial and feasibility analysis of projects to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.

Budgeting and Financial Management:.

- Prepare and manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) and revenue expenditure (REVEX) budgets for manufacturing engineering projects.

- Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and make informed build vs. buy decisions.

Facility Planning and Management:

- Plan and manage the development of manufacturing facilities, including layout design, equipment selection, and infrastructure development.

- Ensure optimal utilization of space and resources to maximize efficiency and productivity.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new facilities and equipment.

- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and manage a team of 30 manufacturing engineers, both directly and indirectly.

- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

- Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities to team members.

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:.

- Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize production processes.

- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive initiatives to achieve performance targets.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure successful project execution.

- Work closely with the R&D, production, and supply chain teams to support the introduction of new products and technologies.

- Communicate project status, progress, and challenges to senior management and other stakeholders.

Qualification & Experience Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- 18 20 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, with a preference for experience in the tractor industry.

- Proven track record of successfully executing greenfield and brownfield projects.

- Strong knowledge of tractor assembly and aggregates assembly processes (Transmission and Engine).

- Excellent project management, budgeting, and financial analysis skills.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
