Assistant Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain Manager to oversee and streamline our logistics and import operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain activities, including coordination with OEMs, freight forwarding, customs clearance, inventory planning, and compliance documentation. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across domestic and international logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Management

Onboard and manage freight forwarding agents and CHA (Customs House Agents) contracts
Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service level compliance

Logistics Planning

Develop and execute logistics plans for imports and domestic distribution

Coordinate with OEMs, Frieght forward agents and warehouses for seamless movement of goods

Inventory Coordination

Work closely with the inventory team to align stock levels with logistics schedules
Monitor non-moving stock and optimize storage

Import/Export Operations

Handle all paperwork related to import/export including shipping documents, invoices, and packing lists

Ensure timely customs clearance and compliance with regulatory requirements

Compliance & Documentation

Maintain accurate records for insurance, stock, and customs
Ensure adherence to import/export laws and documentation standards

MIS & Reporting

Prepare and maintain MIS reports related to logistics, freight costs, and inventory movement
Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities

Budgeting

Prepare and manage logistics budgets
Monitor freight and warehousing costs to ensure cost-efficiency

Stakeholder Coordination

Liaise with internal teams (Finance, IT, Inventory) and external partners (OEMs, logistics providers) for end-to-end coordination

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred)

- 5+ years of experience in supply chain/logistics/import operations

- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, freight forwarding, and CHA processes

- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and logistics software

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
