Manual Test Lead - BDD (5-15 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Manual Test Lead with a strong background in manual testing and expertise in BDD Manual Test Cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Insurance domain and will be responsible for leading a team of manual testers, ensuring high-quality testing processes, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver defect-free software solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of manual testers, ensuring best testing practices are followed.

- Develop, review, and execute BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) Manual Test Cases.

- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies.

- Ensure comprehensive test coverage, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.

- Implement and enhance manual testing processes to improve software quality.

- Conduct root cause analysis for critical defects and suggest preventive measures.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

- Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in manual testing, with strong expertise in test planning and execution.

- Proven hands-on experience with BDD Manual Test Cases.

- Experience in the Insurance domain is mandatory.

- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases using Gherkin syntax (Given-When-Then format).

- Experience in test case management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.

- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Good knowledge of defect tracking tools and processes.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with automation testing will be an added advantage.

- Knowledge of API testing using Postman.

- Familiarity with SQL for database validation.

- Exposure to performance and security testing concepts.
