Account Receivables Finance Executive

Role & responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Educational Requirements & Experience

Preferred Qualifications (First Preference):

• CA Inter / CMA Inter with relevant finance experience
• Must have experience in Finance roles (Audit/Taxation experience will not be considered)
• 2-4 years of relevant finance experience

Alternative Qualifications:

• BCom / MCom / MBA in Finance/Accounting
• 3-5 years of specific experience in Accounts Receivable role

Key Responsibilities

Account Management

• Manage customer accounts and maintain accurate records of all transactions
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Process customer payments and apply them to appropriate accounts

Collections & Credit Management

• Execute collection strategies for overdue accounts
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements when necessary
• Maintain collection notes and document all customer interactions
• Assess creditworthiness of new customers and recommend credit limits

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly aging reports and collection summaries
• Generate customer statements and dunning letters
• Assist in month-end closing procedures
• Provide analysis on receivables trends and collection efficiency
• Support management with ad-hoc financial reporting

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline AR processes
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues
• Maintain and update customer master data
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
• Experience with collection software and CRM systems
• Understanding of credit management principles
