Job Description
Climate Risk:
Climate risk has emerged as a top priority risk to the team is helping to respond to the various challenges this poses, including how to embed climate risk management and measurement as well as to support and meet stakeholder demands, both internally and externally.
- The team is responsible for developing the WPB approach to climate risk modelling, including both physical and transition risks, supporting modelling, risk management, analytics and stress testing.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Considering the aspects of Climate Risk, the candidate should have experience in Natural
- Catastrophe Modeling (across floods, wildfire, tropical cyclones and landslides), capable of performing independent validation on vendor modelling approach and data
- Strong understanding of consumer lending products like mortgages.
- Excellent analytical skills and comfortable working large datasets; able to perform de-trending and key data trigger point analysis.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on analytics experience solving complex business problems using data
- Given that the models are run in Python, intermediate technical experience
