Estimation & Tendering - Quantity Surveyor (QS)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed project cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions
• Analyse tender documents, technical specifications, and BOQs
• Prepare and review quantity take-offs and pricing of work items
• Coordinate with project, procurement, and engineering teams to gather necessary inputs
• Evaluate vendor quotations and prepare cost comparisons
• Assist in pre-qualification, tender submission, and bid documentation
• Monitor market trends, rates, and material pricing to ensure competitive estimates
• Support post-tender activities including negotiations and clarifications
• Prepare rate analysis of BOQ items
• Prepare comparative statements

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
• 8-10 years of relevant experience in estimation and tendering for civil projects
• Strong command over quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and rate analysis
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software (e.g., Candy, Primavera, etc.)
• Familiarity with government and private sector tendering processes
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
