Automation Test Engineer

Role Summary:The candidate should be capable of:

• Joining client calls to understand EPICs/features planned for future sprints.
• Translating business requirements into detailed test plans and test cases.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Validating E2E and UI workflows through automation across multiple environments.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies and driving QA deliverables for sprint commitments.
• Take ownership of QA deliverables and act as a bridge between development and client QA teams.

Key Skills & Requirements:Core Testing & Communication Skills

• Ability to interpret EPICs/user stories and derive high-quality test scenarios.
• Experience in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to interact directly with clients and articulate test strategies and issues clearly.
• Ownership of QA deliverables, from planning to defect closure.

Automation Expertise

• Python programming proficiency with focus on test automation.
• Strong experience with Pytest
• UI automation Selenium WebDriver or Playwright (preferably Python client).
• Ability to build and maintain scalable, maintainable, and modular automation suites.

Test Execution & CI/CD Integration

• Hands-on experience with test execution and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for integrating automated test runs.
• Experience with generating test reports (e.g., Allure, HTML reports, custom logs).
• Version control proficiency (Git  branching, merging, PR reviews).

Debugging & Troubleshooting

• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Ability to identify root causes of automation failures and coordinate with dev teams to resolve blockers.

Test Management & Defect Tracking

• Familiarity with tools JIRA and TestRail
