Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance

Manage all required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System to be compliant with OHSAS and ISO standards, including corrective and preventive measures

Coordinate for HSE audit as per schedule

Compile all NCs, prepare corrective action and follow up for closure of NCs

Coordinate and participate in the investigation of accidents and near misses

Review and analyze accidents and near miss incidents and recommend corrective action

Arrange for firefighting training and mockdrills for all employees as per statutory guidelines

Supervises the regular inspection of fire fighting, safety and emergency response equipment and coordinate for timely maintenance of same

Identify safety training needs, organise and co-ordinate safety training courses and prepare training material where appropriate

Liaise with on site contractors to ensure their compliance with Company safety regulations and adherence to safety standards, including basic safety induction training

Manage the proper storage and filing of controlled documents

¢ Prepare and timely submit all MIS & reports

Preferred candidate profile

Experience in EHS,OHSAS, Safety management Systems

Experience as Safety Officer in reputed organization

B.E/M.E industrial Safety and Health , Diploma in Health, safety and Environmental Engineering
