Job Title: Packaging Head Food & Frozen Products

Job Summary:

The Packaging Head will oversee the packaging operations for food products, ensuring compliance with domestic and export regulations. This role involves optimizing packaging processes, maintaining quality standards, and collaborating with production, logistics, and regulatory teams to ensure efficient and safe packaging of meat products.

Key Responsibilities:

Packaging Strategy & Development:

- Design and implement packaging solutions for meat products suitable for export and domestic distribution.

- Ensure packaging meets food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

- Optimize packaging materials to maintain product freshness and minimize waste.

Quality Control & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations (FSSAI, FDA, HACCP, etc.) for both domestic and international markets.

- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain packaging integrity.

- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure packaging prevents contamination and spoilage.

Operations & Process Optimization:

- Oversee packaging line operations, ensuring efficiency and minimal downtime.

- Implement automation and innovative packaging technologies to enhance productivity.

- Monitor packaging equipment maintenance schedules and troubleshoot issues.

Supply Chain & Vendor Management:

- Coordinate with suppliers for packaging materials procurement.

- Develop relationships with vendors to ensure cost-effective and sustainable packaging solutions.

- Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.

Team Leadership & Training:

- Lead and train packaging staff on best practices and safety protocols.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in packaging processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's/Masters degree in Packaging Science, Food Technology, Engineering, or related field.

- 10+ years of experience in food packaging, preferably in Frozen Non veg processing.

- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, machinery, and food safety regulations.

- Experience in export packaging and compliance with international standards.

- Leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.

- Proficiency in lean manufacturing and process optimization.

Preferred Experience:

- Handling perishable food packaging for export markets.

- Working with vacuum-sealed, frozen, and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) technologies.

- Managing packaging operations in an FMCG or Frozen non veg processing company.
