Job Responsibilities :

- Infrastructure Setup and Configuration : Set up on-premise infrastructure with VMware Tanzu by provisioning virtual machines, configuring system resources, network settings, and installing operating systems to meet infrastructure and Kubernetes requirements.

- OS Installation and Hardening : Install and configure Linux/Windows operating systems on virtual machines, perform OS hardening based on industry standards (e.g. , CIS Benchmarks), and ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.

- Kubernetes Deployment and Management : Set up and manage Kubernetes clusters on VMware Tanzu, deploy and scale containerized applications, and implement patching and updates to maintain security and stability.

- Deployment Management : Manage application and system deployments using Nexus and Harbor repositories, ensuring version control and artifact management while automating deployment workflows for efficient and consistent rollouts.

- Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Implement and manage monitoring systems for infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and applications, diagnose and resolve OS, Kubernetes, application, and infrastructure issues promptly, and optimize performance and resource utilization.

- Patch and Update Management : Plan and implement patching for operating systems and Kubernetes environments, validating updates to ensure minimal downtime and maximum security.

- Collaboration with Teams : Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and storage teams for provisioning and optimization, and work with development teams to align infrastructure with application requirements.

- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing : Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for future reference, and share knowledge with team members through training sessions and written guides.

- Security and Compliance : Implement security measures for operating systems, Kubernetes, and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards.

Qualification and Experience :

- Experience in monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios.

- Certifications in Kubernetes (e.g., CKA) or VMware (e.g. , VMware Certified Professional).

- Knowledge of secure repository management and integration.

- Proven experience of 2+ years in managing on-premise infrastructure with Tanzu VMware.

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes deployment and management in on-premise environments.

- Expertise in operating system installation and hardening.

- Proficiency in using Nexus and Harbor repositories for artifact and deployment management.

- Strong troubleshooting skills in on-premise and containerized environments.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.

- Familiarity with security standards like CIS Benchmarks and Kubernetes RBAC
