Job Summary :
We are actively seeking a highly experienced and proficient ServiceNow Developer with robust expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in the end-to-end design, development, configuration, and implementation of comprehensive ServiceNow solutions, with a particular focus on optimizing and extending the IT Service Management module to meet evolving business needs. You will be instrumental in transforming business requirements into impactful technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, configure, and customize complex ServiceNow applications, modules, and services, with a primary emphasis on the IT Service Management (ITSM) suite (Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, Request Fulfillment, Knowledge Management).
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into effective, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
- Implement best practices for ServiceNow development, administration, scripting (Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, Script Includes, UI Actions, Workflows), integrations, and data management.
- Maintain, enhance, and optimize existing ServiceNow implementations and modules, ensuring performance, stability, and adherence to architectural standards.
- Develop and integrate ServiceNow with external systems using various methods such as REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, LDAP, SSO, etc.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues related to ServiceNow applications, workflows, integrations, and user experience.
- Actively participate in ServiceNow upgrade planning, patching, and release management activities, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, development guides, and test plans for ServiceNow solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and optimal performance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 6-15 years of progressive experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a strong focus on ITSM module development and customization.
- Deep expertise in ServiceNow platform capabilities, including UI development, workflow design, scripting (JavaScript, GlideRecord, GlideAjax), access control, and data management.
- Proficiency in configuring and customizing core ITSM applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management.
- Demonstrable experience with ServiceNow integrations using various methods (REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub).
- Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts within ServiceNow.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills :
- ServiceNow Certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist - ITSM (CIS-ITSM) are highly desirable.
- Experience with other ServiceNow modules like CMDB, Discovery, IT Operations Management (ITOM), Security Operations (SecOps), or GRC.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and principles.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
