Role & responsibilities

• Manage in advising on various direct tax issues by understanding the facts, doing research, referring to the Act, Commentaries, examining relevant judicial precedents, exchange regulatory provisions and relevant tax treaties including preparation of memos/ opinion/reports and power point presentation including advice on withholding tax on various issues, transfer pricing, international tax.
• Handling income tax proceedings under section 143(3), 201(1A) and 133(6) of the Act
• Handling the team
• Representation before tax authorities in connection with Search and Survey proceedings under Section 132/132A/133A
• Finalization of Computation of Income, Income-tax Returns -Income Tax, Tax Audit, TDS Return including revision etc.
• Obtaining lower deduction certificate under section 197 of the Income-tax Act, 1961
• Handling of assessment proceedings of clients independently including communication with client and preparation of submission.
• Handled/Involved in preparation of Transfer Pricing Form 3CEB required for Transfer pricing compliances and Transfer Pricing Study.
• Initiating and participating in client meetings
• Supervising, training, and mentoring the team
• Collaborating with a cross-functional team to provide tax solutions and facilitating cross-selling opportunities
