Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth and achieve regional targets within the agency channel.
- Oversee the daily operations of the agency channel within the Mumbai region, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and motivate a high-performing network of agents.
- Set clear sales targets and monitor individual and team performance against key metrics.
- Provide ongoing support, coaching, and mentorship to agents to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge.
- Foster strong and collaborative relationships with agents and key stakeholders.
- Ensure the consistent implementation of company policies, procedures, and sales processes within the agency channel.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Analyze sales data and performance1 reports to identify areas for improvement and implement effective strategies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to agents.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and ethical sales practices.
- Maintain high standards of customer service within the agency channel.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, product development) to align strategies and achieve overall business objectives.
- Prepare and present regular reports on regional sales performance and agency activities to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Proven proficiency in Account Management and Sales, with a strong understanding of sales principles and techniques.
- Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Demonstrated experience in Team Management and Sales Management, including recruitment, training, motivation, and performance management of sales teams or agency networks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively interact with and influence agents, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong capability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a target-driven environment.
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Good to Have:
- Experience specifically within the insurance industry.
- Knowledge of local market dynamics and the Mumbai region.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales management tools.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key partners.
